  1.  3:1  This know also, that in the last days perilous times
  2. shall come.
  3.  3:2  For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous,
  4. boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents,
  5. unthankful, unholy,
  6.  3:3  Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers,
  7. incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
  8.  3:4  Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more
  9. than lovers of God;
  10.  3:5  Having a form of godliness, but denying the power
  11. thereof: from such turn away.
  12.  3:6  For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and
  13. lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers
  14. lusts,
  15.  3:7  Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of
  16. the truth.
  17.  3:8  Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these
  18. also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate
  19. concerning the faith.
  20.  3:9  But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall
  21. be manifest unto all [men], as theirs also was.
  22.  3:10  But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life,
  23. purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience,
  24.  3:11  Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at
  25. Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured:
  26. but out of [them] all the Lord delivered me.
  27.  3:12  Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall
  28. suffer persecution.
  29.  3:13  But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse,
  30. deceiving, and being deceived.
  31.  3:14  But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned
  32. and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned
  33. [them];
  34.  3:15  And that from a child thou hast known the holy
  35. scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation
  36. through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
  37.  3:16  All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and [is]
  38. profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for
  39. instruction in righteousness:
  40.  3:17  That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished
  41. unto all good works.
